Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you from your hotel and your safari will commence. You will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park which takes approximately 3 hours.

The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, which is the only source of water for the wild animals here during the dry season. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons.
After a nice game drive, before it gets dark, you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After an early morning Breakfast depart for Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro conservation area while having a game viewing en-route to Serengeti National Park and enjoying game drive towards the campsite. Continuing on, as you crest the hillside, spread out before you, as far as the eyes can see, is the vast Serengeti.
Serengeti mean “endless plains” in Kiswahili and this 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Karatu

Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the African savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have.

After the game drive, you will return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. With walls 2,000ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102sq miles, the crater is a virtual Noah’s Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhinos.

In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.

Day 4: Ngorongoro crater back to Arusha

After breakfast, carrying a picnic lunch, we depart for an en-route game drive as we head to Ngorongoro Crater. Once we arrive at the crater, we descend 610 meters to the crater floor. You will have a half-day game drive in the crater and, if we are lucky, see the endangered black rhinoceros. The crater is home to a host of animals, as there is a permanent water source in the crater. Although animals are free to move in and out of the crater, many prefer to stay due to the lush grass and ample water. After the game drive, return to Arusha, where we will drop you off at your preferred hotel.
